New Delhi: In a significant initiative aimed at creating employment opportunities for the youth, the Hamdard Learning and Welfare Society, in collaboration with the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP), Mumbai and Jamia Hamdard, organized a Mega Job Fair at the Hamdard Convention Centre, Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi. The event witnessed an overwhelming response as hundreds of job seekers gathered early in the morning, with numerous reputed companies from across the country offering promising career opportunities.

The job fair was inaugurated by Prof. Afshar Alam, Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard. The inaugural session was graced by Shaukat H.S. Mufti, Head of Hamdard Learning and Welfare Society; Farooq Siddiqui, Head of AMP; Prof. Manju Sungani, and Prof. Farhat Bashir, among other dignitaries.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Prof. Afshar Alam described the event as a powerful initiative aimed at connecting youth with meaningful employment. “Several reputed companies from across the nation have participated in this job fair. We have organized similar fairs in various states before, but today’s event is by far the most extensive and impactful,” he remarked.

Shaukat H.S. Mufti, Head of Hamdard Learning and Welfare Society, shared that over 65 companies participated in the fair and more than 1,500 unemployed youth were interviewed, with a majority successfully securing job offers. “Hamdard has always been committed not only to healthcare and education but also to social welfare and employment generation. Organizing job fairs, offering scholarships, and assisting the underprivileged are integral parts of our mission,” he added.

Farooq Siddiqui, Head of AMP, stated that the preparation for the job fair took nearly three months. He mentioned that employment opportunities were provided in diverse sectors such as engineering, telecom, hospitality, BPO, and logistics — all without charging any fees from the candidates.

Prof. Manju Sungani highlighted that unemployed youth from Delhi-NCR participated in large numbers and that the entire event was conducted in a well-organized manner. “Such job fairs not only provide employment but also inspire young people to move towards self-reliance,” she said.

The mega job fair successfully connected hundreds of candidates with employment opportunities while also allowing companies to recruit fresh and skilled talent. The organizers concluded by announcing their plan to hold more such large-scale events in the future to reach even greater numbers of aspiring youth across the nation.
